daisy
Another amazing art installation using flowers. I'm pretty sure they aren't real daisies, but such an amazing idea regardless.

dandelion
I really really really want to do things with flowers, awesome things just like this! This amazing 2000 suspended dandelion installation was created by German artist Regine Ramseier as part of ArToll Summer Lab 2011.
Basically, She first sprayed the dandelions with a mild adhesive, before hanging them in a purpose-built carrier that fit in her car, then installed them one by one to crate this breathtaking (quite literally) work of art. Yep, I want to do cool stuff like this, How can I make this happen??!!

dream job
I just read this little interview with Denise Porcaro from flower girl in NYC. It's so cool to find people out there who have my dream job (and she has pretty great style too!)

Bloom
"Bloom is the first magazine of its kind to analyse the major trends in horticulture with informative and inspirational photography and texts, and their relation to the fashion, interior and industrial design, architecture, packaging, cosmetics, and food industries. It speaks to all levels of the industry, from hybrid creators to growers, buyers, distributors, retailers and florists. It is also destined for a much wider public as well as students and professionals; all those keen on photography, horticulture and contemporary creation."
"Bloom is produced in collaboration with several highly talented artists, stylists, designers and photographers. We enjoy sharing and promoting the work of the new talents we discover. Lending horticulture a new voice through the creativity of these contemporary artists, we wish to stimulate all our readers’ senses and imagination. We choose to publish an advertising-free magazine, allowing our readers to be fully immersed in our captivating stories."
Sounds amazing, I'm just a little sad that it is so expensive and that my french isn't all that great. Luckily, you can view a gallery of images from the last eight publications here.
